music therapy and physical therapy program

MUSIC, DANCE and Physical Therapy

Moving Through Parkinson’s, LLC (MTP) is an affiliate program of CSU Dance. Founded by Lisa Morgan, MTP was started as an extension of ongoing classes through the Music Therapy Program at Colorado State University.  MTP classes are for people living with movement challenges that affect balance, coordination, strength, and more.  We have primarily focused on Parkinson’s,  but invite people living with MS, recovery from stroke, traumatic brain injury, and general aging mobility issues. Care partners are always welcome.

join us for engaging sessions

Exercise groups led by physical therapist Ruth Rice, DPT from UC Health and Kyle Wilhelm, MT-BC from CSU work on balance, range of motion, and strengthening. Currently the classes are held on Zoom. You would need a strap and some weights (cans of food or water bottles are fine) to participate. There is no cost, but donations are appreciated to the Colorado State University Music Therapy area.
