Welcome to The Brain Health Minute, where science meets action, one minute at a time.

The Brain Health Minute focuses on evidence-based lifestyle strategies that promote optimal brain health across the lifespan. Each episode highlights scientifically supported interventions, including exercise, nutrition, sleep, stress management, cognitive engagement, and social connection, with the goal of empowering individuals to take proactive steps toward maintaining cognitive vitality and neurological well-being.

Meet Matias

Matías Miravalle is a high school student with a passion for resilience, performance, and lifelong learning. As the host of The Brain Health Minute, Matías brings curiosity, energy, and clarity to a series of short, engaging videos designed to translate cutting-edge neuroscience into practical, everyday actions.

Matías works closely with his mentors, Brett Fling, Professor at Colorado State University, whose research focuses on motor control and brain function, and Thomas Holland at Rush University Medical Center, an expert in lifestyle medicine and cognitive health. Together, they ensure that every topic presented in the series reflects rigorous scientific evidence and current best practices.

Through thoughtful conversations with his mentors and a relatable, student-driven perspective, Matías bridges generations, making complex neuroscience accessible, practical, and inspiring.

His mission is simple: to help people understand that brain health is not accidental, but intentional, and that small, consistent lifestyle choices can have a powerful impact over time.
